Update: The Myrmecia nigrocincta have started a new batch of eggs. So far they have 5 eggs that should hatch in a few days.

Myrmecia nigrocincta finally got a second worker! And amazingly the larva did not spin a cocoon but lived to turn into a worker.

I was wowed that they did not eat/kill her and she lived, I watched as time went on and she started to colour up. Within the next few days to a week she was up and walking around.
