I caught these two queens at Northridge Park. Black head, Brown thorax, and black greensih abdomen. Found near a nylanderia and a camponatous colony. about 1/2 cm.

I was joking. There are many words that start with poly, two of which are commonly used to describe a colony of ants. So, typing out all 10 letters is probably the best thing to do.

These are like one queen versions of T. Sessile. Small, fast, crafty. 


Species I keep:

 

1 Lasius cf. Neoniger 30 workers

1 Camponotus sp. 15 workers

20 Tetramorium SpE 30 workers

1 T. Sessile 200 workers
