Found Strumigenys in NYC!

The species is Strumigenys clypeata and was found in Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn (It’s a very old public cemetery almost like a park). They were nesting in an invasive maple tree stump next to an Aphaenogaster nest. I saw two foraging workers, one of which was carrying a baby cotton springtail.
