The monomorium escaped they were to small

But i just found something bigger. Better stronger. A MEXICAN TWIG ANT QUEEN. or i suppose. She is black unlike the other ones i have seen on my trails. Wich are orange. And the torso is more robust. Upload soon.
I have been stung by them and its painful. So that's s concern T_T

oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't try to keep them, if you don't know how to care then just don't. I'm just saying that you haven't even raised good begginer species, then you shouldn't keep this kind of ant until you have more experience

oh no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't try to keep them, if you don't know how to care then just don't. I'm just saying that you haven't even raised good begginer species, then you shouldn't keep this kind of ant until you have more experience

I’d guess nuptial flights coincide either with the start or end of the rainy season. I used to see thousands of leaf cutter queens when the rains started back when I lived in Honduras. They called them zonpopos de Mayo.

Update. Caught a paratrechina queen with workers. Gave them a dead Camponotus supermajor and some water. I also have cotton ready

Update. Caught a paratrechina queen with workers. Gave them a dead Camponotus supermajor and some water. I also have cotton ready

Its probably not a super major and make sure they are actually eating the camponotus major.

Apparently queen felt so comfy she started laying eggs. At day 1. Hope that helps

I wan't doubting it was a major I was just saying it probably wasn't a Supermajor

Day 4? Egg pile is as big as before. Only four workers remain alive. The queen is still alive. They i have seen them feed and be fed. Everything is ok

Btw how long does it take for a egg to hatch? They are tending the eggs and caring the queen its all ok

If the workers are dying not everything is okay.
