OMG..... I gave my colony some honey and they drank for a straight 50 minutes! :o  Atleast they got sugar.........

They have 6 larvea.

The larvea are growing prett fast. Now there are 4 big size larvea.

I am ordering a new formicarium for them, which I mentioned in another post. I am probably getting a mini hearth from tarheelants.

The colony is doing great. They almost have more pupae which is very exciting. I keep expecting these first 2 nanitics to die off soon, but they lasted since last October which is crazy. If nanitics live this long in Formica than the workers must live even longer.

My Formica colony has pupae! I had low hopes for the queen when I caught her back in August because the queen didn't lay for a few weeks, but now she has a healthy growing colony  :D I'll expect the second generation of workers soon!

Also the pupae are actually cocoons. I guess the nanitics just couldn't make a cocoon.
