6.5 inch mini hearth. Seems quite nice.

Yeah, it looks awesome, especially the segmented chamber. Outworld is a bit small though.

Ants I have:

1 Formica fusca group- 0 workers

1 Tetramorium immigrans colony-20 workers

1 Dorymyrmex insanus- 1 queen, used to have workers

1 large P. occidentalis colony- around 50 workers, plenty of brood

This looks really good actually. When my colony needs expansion eventually (which they will, eventually if they thrive they'll have endless amount of queens lol), this will be what I get. The price is good too.

Yeah, when I first saw it I was amazed. It looks really good. The price seems pretty good for the size of it to. My only problem is that since it is a mini hearth, the outworld is going to be pretty small. I mean for the same price you could get a fortress and have more outworld space.

I saw this new product earlier, certainly interesting!  I like the rocks in the ceiling, looks great to me.  Maybe I'll get one for this year's colonies, if I do I will let you guys know.  :)

Yay!  FC is back online!  I was worried for my sanity when it was down...  What if I randomly found a queen and had to ID it????  I don't even know what I'd do!

It would be more useful if the thread called like "New Tar Heel Ants products" so people can just say that they added a new thing and won't make new threads every time when THA drops a new formicariums. *To be honest*(not being rude) only people who care are the ones that are planning on getting a new formicarium, and they will know that when they just literally open the website.

He doesn't drop new products that often, and they just wanted to share their thoughts on it. Obviously people can just go on the website, but a forum is about sharing opinions, and they are sharing their opinion, so I don't know why you are complaining about that. Also, there are not threads like this popping up all the time, so I don't see the issue here.

I wonder when the mini hearth will stop being considered mini.
