Yeah, you should hand feed wasp queens to tame them otherwise colonies are aggressive

Just sugar water from your fingertip. I guess you could hold the queen but she could fly away/sting you

Is it fine that the spot she is in stays cool/shady all day or does she need occasional sun?

Going to get waxworms today hopefully. If I put them in there she will just attack them? Right now she just spends all day in her corner.

she will probably wander around and sting them to paralyze. I'm not 100% sure though, just my predictions lol

She will eat them when she eats them.

Kinda. My wasps just grabbed them and teared it apart.

I guess my question is if she isn't eating them do I just leave them in there till they die? Will she eat dead ones?

I would say that she would eat dead ones but take them out 24 hours later to make sure it doesn’t cause mold.

Currently: Considering moving to Australia
Reason: Myrmecia

Polistes don't scavenge on dead insects as readily as Vespula do, though they will sometimes do it.

Your queen may not eat the waxworms until she has a nest, and if she doesn't eat them after a few days take them out
