love the name, and have fun with your leapord gecko! I keep a gargoyle gecko, and its so cute. the eyes!!!

I have a beardie, but not sure how much longer I will keep him. He never is active, he refuse food a lot, and he is a LOT of work. We took him to the vet once and nothing was wrong so I think he is just weird. If we end up taking him to a shelter or something I want a African fat tailed gecko.

If you get rid of him rehome him to EmeraldScales.com, they'll take much better care than a shelter.

Thing is, we didn't want to have to deal with shipping him, since we don't really know how to ship a reptile, and in this weather he probably would get to cold.

Thanks everyone. I'll have to let my parents know.

Just went to the site and realized I have been there before after watching GoHerping.

Hey FC.  I've been pretty inactive lately, so I'm sorry for that. I've been pretty busy, and I keep forgetting to update my journals and things.  This will most likely be the last update because I don't really want to clog up an ant forum with off-topic posts.

Cosmo is doing great!  He is very receptive to handling, and likes to climb around on me and explore.  He is a really good eater, and whenever I open up his lid in the morning, he knows it's breakfast and darts out to receive his mealworms.  I actually got to watch him shed, which was really amazing to see, because it is rare for leopard gecko owner's to see their gecko shed.  They go into shed very quickly; in a few hours usually so it can happen overnight.  They also eat their skin to reabsorb nutrients so often it is difficult to even tell when they do shed.  I will include a pic!  I am really happy I got him, and I will enjoy him for years to come.  If you guys want an update I will obviously post one, but don't expect many, there isn't going to be much to update I don't think.  I just wanted to let you all know that he is doing really good.  Thanks for viewing!

Cool gecko! I just found this topic. I LOVE leopard geckos. I have a 1 year old high yellow reverse tripe pattern female. Her name is coconut. I find leopard geckos are very fun to keep.

Yes I really want to hear about how he is doing!

For those of you wondering about my beardie, we took him to a rescue here in MI. They are nice people and seem really experienced with reptiles so I trust he will get the care he needs.

What happened to your bearded dragon? (I'm assuming that's what you mean by beardie). I haven't really ever looked at the off topic conversations, so I am not updated on peoples reptiles.

Or other pets.

Well a couple years ago his behavior flipped a switch from normal to skittish and he just wouldn’t really eat much. We also travel upstate a lot so it’s a lot of work for our pet sitter and a lot of stress on me to take care of him while also being a high school student.

Ooh cool! I’m actually going to pick up my own leopard gecko today, after spending months doing research.
