Decided to connect it with some tubing. I might switch over to magnets. I put some Brachy's inside and they are doing good. I also just got some tubing that would allow me to make super tiny nestmates for the outworld that would make feeding easier.

People vote for the rectangle way because of heating, many species like heat mats or cables but not all of them need high humidity. making it rectangle allows for a cool spot and also a hot spot, so that the water doesn't evaporate from the heat around it.

i like the long way because i just thinks it looks cool. it just feels like what an ant might do when building their nest.

I don't think it's not a poll on the shape of the nest. He made a post asking about how he should arrange the outworld and then put the poll so I'm pretty sure he's referring to how the outworld will connect to the nest.

Very nice!
Very nice.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies.

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

Thanks! Even if no one wants them I can still use them. They should be great for commoners next year.

Last poll. I promise. I got some new square tubing that I can use to make water towers. Vote on which water tower shape you like best.

Where’d you get square tubing?

I changed my vote to square. It'd be more space efficient since you can just put it in the corner or something.

i would put some kind of grout or plaster into the center from the ground to the ceiling to make it more enclosed, as some smaller species don't like open spaces.

Not sure I understand entirely.

From my understanding (I may be wrong) he is talking about adding a pillar of sorts in the middle of the AntNook. Sort of like the center of a THA atom, to make the space better suited for smaller species.
