Didn't make this with the intention of selling but it's kind of cool so....Would you buy one? Its a tiny founding formicarium with a tiny water tower. I call it the Nano Hearth since it has a tiny water tower. There's a small hole on the side to refill it. I haven't tested it on ants yet but I'll update as soon as I do. It would be under $10. Anyhow even if your not interested in buying I was wondering if anyone had ideas on how to offer water to the ants? It will be very humid but there's no room for a nestmate. That's the only downfall to it's size.

Also should I keep calling it the Nano Hearth or change it to the Micro Hearth.

You could heat it in a way that would cause condensation for the queen to drink, or you could stick a nestmate in a hole in the lid.

It will be hard to feed without an outworld. If you open the lid the ants will just pour out.

I think that the condensation would be enough for the tiny ants that would go in this thing.

Hi there! I went on a 6 month or so hiatus, in part due, and in part cause of the death of my colonies. 

However, I went back to the Sierras, and restarted my collection, which is now as follows:

Aphaenogaster uinta, Camponotus vicinus, Camponotus modoc, Formica cf. aserva, Formica cf. micropthalma, Formica cf. manni, Formica subpolita, Formica cf. subaenescens, Lasius americanus, Manica invidia, Pogonomyrmex salinus, Pogonomyrmex sp. 1, Solenopsis validiuscula, & Solenopsis sp. 3 (new Sierra variant).

Honestly I would call it something other than "hearth" if you plan on selling it. It'd be more creative too if you called it something else.
