For example, Stigmatomma will do much better and grow faster with Geophilomorpha centipedes over any other type of food, to my knowledge. The food they specialize in will vary depending on the species, which is why cryptic species are often called specialists.

geophilomorpha centipedes are those long skinny small ones right? i also will be able to catch those, there are tons in my backyard  :lol:

Yeah it can take 7 months for one worker to go from egg to worker, even if fed their specialized diet.

Yeah, don't try stigs. they're a pain to maintain especially if you have no idea what you're doing. Cryptics in general need a lot of background knowledge to maintain, do some reading before you try anything.

Yeah, don't try stigs. they're a pain to maintain especially if you have no idea what you're doing. Cryptics in general need a lot of background knowledge to maintain, do some reading before you try anything.

Yes which cryptic is easiest t take care of because I plan on going outside and trying to find stennama or hyponera I am planning on keep them in a inception chamber of that works.

Stenamma arent a good beginner. Hypoponera are pretty easy if you can give them stable conditions.

Yes doesn't it have to be cold outside for hyponera to fly, i have a big light outside that i check every once in a while during fall and I haven't seen hyponera or any queens yet.

I got a dorymyrmex queen last night in my pool but idk if its fertile.

A. versicolor, C. us-ca02, C. yogi, C. Vicinus, C. laevigatus, C. clarithorax, C. maritimus, C. ocreatus, M. mexicanus, M. placodops 01, V. andrei, V. pergandei, N. cockerelli, P. barbata, P. montanus

Hoping to Catch This season:

M. romanei, M. placodops 02, P. imberbiculus, Polyergus sp., F. moki, A. megomatta, Cyphomyrmex sp.,Temnothorax sp.
