My best Crematogaster queen lost a nanitic. Not sure why. The others seem fine. Wasn't due to age so I'm stumped. Any ideas?

I wouldn't be too concerned about the loss of a single nanitic.

Yeah, no big deal unless it becomes a pattern. My Crematogasters’ graveyard is the size of some people’s colonies on here.

One of my other queens keeps losing her nanitics. I'm more concerned about this one. She hasn't kept a worker for more than a day but still has some brood. Why do they keep dying? Am I not feeding enough?

Do they have constant access to sugars? Crematogaster nanitics die really quick without fresh nectar. I recommend giving them a byFormica feeder as soon as possible if you haven’t done so.

Yeah they're in a test tube that's kind of hard to get to so I may not be feeding them enough. I don't have any outworlds for them for a liquid feeder though. I'm just trying to get them big enough to sell.

this has been my problem as well. i always feed my ants to little while they are in a test tube. give them an outworld as soon as they have over 8 nanitics. that is what i do.

you can make outworlds out of everyday items such as food containers i made mine out of panera salad containers for my 50m test tubes with paper towel taped over a hole for air.
