Please read before ordering

Location: I ship to South Dakota only unless you have a valid PPQ-526 permit

Payment: I accept cash or paypal

Origin Address: Ants ship from Sioux Falls, SD
Shipping: Shipping will be calculated based on distance when you place an order. You can choose whether you want priority mail express or priority mail

DOA: Video footage must be provided 1 hour after arrival. For priority mail express, a full refund will be given(not including shipping) or another colony will be provided. For priority mail, half price will be refunded or another colony provided

Pickup: You can choose to pick the ants up from me at a local park

Prices: All funds raised from this shop go back into equipment to better help me collect queens in future years. Prices are based on rarity of the queen and the development stage of the colony. Prices are negotiable(if you wish to bundle, for example) and trades are welcome

How to buy: PM me on formiculture and respond to this post. The more chance for me to see your post the better

Notes: Hardy, native ants to the great plains of South Dakota. Easy care, will grow as fast as you feed them!

Notes: Beautifully light, pale orange ants. Workers are shy and development can be slow.

Size: Tiny

Stinging: Yes(cannot puncture skin)
Hibernation required: Yes
Experience level: Beginner

Notes: Tiny ravenous eating machines! Grow super fast and are a joy to watch, but you need a secure formicarium!

Formica aserva
Size: Medium
Stinging: Yes
Hibernation required: Yes
Experience level: Advanced

Notes: This is a parasitic species of formica with large polymorphic workers and an aggressive sting. Colonies can grow to be quite large and are known for creating large thatched nests

Yes, an unfortunate test tube flood led to the demise of my Myrmica colony, and therefore I decided to start again with the four queens. They were fat and healthy when I got them, and I have since fed them, making them even fatter. I am expecting eggs soon, if they lay this year at all.
