Do these ants have to be kept in a terrarium set up or can they be housed in a set up like mini hearth or acrylic formicarium?

Stigmatomma are very high humidity ants. The best setup would be something like a petri dish formicarium.

They do best substrate in their tube cause of the high humidity. Canadian anter is an expert on keeping stigmatomma so I'd talk to him for more info.
