I think this is a great idea, I would listen to it! No Ants Canada though. He is more entertainment then actual helpful ant keeping. I think people like Tarheel Ants formicarium maker, Mack. I also think Aus Ants would be great to interview.

Antsvienna might be interested as well. You could try reaching out to Ender Ants via this forum if you wanted to have youtubers as guests.

Another idea, Nordic Ants and Kurzgesagt (Kurz only has three ant videos but still)

Maybe even interviewing some forum members like dspdrew and nurbs.

Yeah I think there is a place for one.  A little over a year ago myself and another member worked on making a podcast for antkeeping. We did some work on it, set up some joint accounts, and produced several documents out lining episodes as well as some guest line ups. But ultimately never ended up recording a full episode as life stuff and scheduling got in the way. Frankly I'm surprised no one has done it in a serious fashion yet.

If you do go through with it, I'll be sure to listen, good luck!

Although I don't want to start a whole AntsCanada debate here, regardless of how controversial he is in the ant community for what he prioritizes, he's still one of the biggest faces in antkeeping today, and I'd be lying if I said he didn't drag me in the hobby to do further research and the like. Maybe during the interview you can bring up the community's concerns with his recent content, since I think getting up-to-date answers about our concerns with him would do more good than bad.

Another idea, maybe you could also invite professionals onto the podcast, like Snelling over here.

Yeah that's probably better then ruling him out completely on the podcast.

I'm not trying to revive ye olde AC debate because it hurts to read, but I'm not sure if he cares what the antkeeping community thinks. He's an entertainer, and because his content gets views, I don't see why he should change it.

Another idea, taking a episode about AntsCanada and how he is not exactly a real ant keeper and better things to watch and better formicariums to buy. And about treating your ants ethically and such.
