I have no idea what this is, thought I'd post it on here.  :D This was on the side of my house, I saw it when I was outside eating lunch.  Those are average size bricks, to give a size reference.  I don't really need to no what it is, but it would be interesting... :)

These are not assassin bugs and at more related to milk weed bugs. They feed on plant fluids and seeds.

Definitely a leaf-footed bug, and it's a male
Young ant keeper with a decent amount of knowledge on local ant species.

YouTube: https://m.youtube.co...uKsahGliSH7EqOQ (It's pretty dead. Might upload again soon, don't expect my voice to sound the same though.)

Currently kept ant species, favorites have a star in front of their names (NOT in alphabetical order, also may be outdated sometimes): Camponotus irritans inferior, Ooceraea biroi, Pheidole parva, Nylanderia sp., Paraparatrechina tapinomoides, Platythyrea sp., Anochetus sp., Colobopsis sp. (cylindrica group), Crematogaster ferrarii, Polyrhachis (Myrma) cf. pruinosa, Polyrhachis (Cyrtomyrma) laevissima, Tapinoma sp. (formerly Zatapinoma)

Death count: Probably over a hundred individual queens and colonies by now. I cannot recall whatsoever.

do you happen to have a pic of its mouth parts? it would be an assassin bug if it has a long snoutish thingy.

Ants I am keeping:

none for now, planning on being more active this year

This is old and we have established what it is. I have them here and they are not assassin bugs. They feed on oils in seeds and plant fluids.
