Hi,

My name's FuzzyJunior and I'm a new ant keeper (started February of this year). I fell in love with ant keeping after watching videos and documentaries on YouTube and wanted to try it for myself.
Now I have a ton of queens that are in the founding stage and two small colonies.
I hope to get to know more ant-keepers in the community and learn as much as I can about ants!

Hope everyone is having a nice night.

Welcome to the ant forum! I think you will find that this forum is educational, and helpful for anything you need, especially for people who are pretty new to ant keeping (because I know I’m pretty new to this whole thing). You came to the right place ;)

Wow! Thank you everyone!

It feels so amazing to know so many people here are so welcoming.

For the one who asked about what ants I'm keeping, I currently have an aphaenogaster occidentalis and a pogonomyrmex occidentalis colony. I also have a ton of founding queens but I don't want to spam this thread.

Thanks again everybody! :D

Something like this would definitely not be spamming. Founding queens are important too!

There is no spamming about ants on this forum. And welcome. Share or ask any question you want, and I and many other antkeepers will help you answer them.

Hello! I'm glad you got your first colonies so early in the season! Hopefully you enjoy your stay here at formiculture!

Are you going to be starting any journals about your colonies? I know it's a bit early to ask, but I love reading them.

Lasius Neoniger (Around 23ish workers)

Tetramorium Immigran (8 Workers)

Myrmica Queen (Not 100% on species)

Formica Subsericea (No workers)
