Hydration Enhancements

 

The GroTube XL features defined wet and dry nest areas. Water may be injected into either the right or left reservoirs independently. The left reservoir hydrates the middle section of the nest, while the right reservoir hydrates the front- and back-right sections of the nest by infiltrating a small piece of PVA sponge that is embedded into the gypsum stone, with which the ants come into contact.

• PVA sponge passes through reservoir walls to wick water to target nest sections
• Micropipettes are included in the product bundle to allow precise hydration and to prevent over-watering
• Water crystals (polyacrylamide) fill the reservoir chambers as a visual indicator of hydration levels and to prevent over-watering
• Integrated foraging area reservoir keeps substrate moist for janitors, and to enhance nest humidity levels
