Does anyone know off hand which vendor sells sand or substrate for formicariums?  I need to buy some, and I can't seem to find any.  Thanks.

It's cheaper to just buy from a store, not a specific ant vendor.

You can use very fine desert quartz sand, playground sand, etc.

It would work purely for decoration in a thin layer of an outworld.

Why not just go old school and gather some from a natural area? I found a good sandy clay by a stream bank in a nature park to fill my dirt box, and my Formica love it.
I’m “fortunate” enough that clay is the predominant soil type in my area. Good for ant farms, but a PITA for everything else.

I prefer sand in my outworlds, yet there really isn't that much around here..........  :(
