Has anyone been to this area?  I will be visiting San Diego (Torrey Pines) on Thursday and possibly staying over giving me time for a foray Friday morning.  Just wondering if my time is better spent with a diversion elsewhere on my way back to Burbank.

Not me. I've been to Torrey Pines though. Lots of Pogonomyrmex and Formica francoeuri there.
