Oecs just make irregular balls of silk, give the award to one of those ants with actually nice looking nests, like pheidole with ringed entrances or harpegnathos with orb shaped chambers floating inside of little chambers of their own.

Me: Likes watching the Tapinoma colony that invaded my house, as you hardly ever see the species around here

There is a meme every week when antscanada uploads his videos. Then people meme him and his video and make a thread about it to complain. Pretty much has become a meme now on here every week that antscanada uploads to complain about him.

Yep. I get that he's cringey and annoying, but he's bringing the hobby to a wider audience and I think that matters more. Those threads honestly annoy me more than AC ever could with his theatrics and dramatization.

Depends. Most of the time the complaints are pretty nonsensical (saying he "sunk to a new low" because he posted the wrong teaser on Twatter and you don't get the video you expected is just stupid) but occasionally he does pretty outrageously stupid things and it's fair to call him out for that. We don't want people who watched his videos to buy a Carebara diversa colony (a species that is very well known for being notoriously hard to raise and often doesn't even survive shipping) and DUMP it into an outworld, destroying their nest in the process - his colony died, there's no need for others to repeat that mistake.

I can see doing that with a more hardy species, but Carebara is known to be extremely sensitive!

Speaking of AC, have we had any angry AC fan-kids join the forum just to insult the members?
