Hello, I recently found a Solenopsis Invicta queen and she's finally laid eggs in her test tube. As I approach my first generation of workers, does anyone have any tips for a first time ant keeper who just happened to find fire ants as his first colony?

Pretty much what Gabraime said. Also use heat to control their growth, as they prefer warmer temperatures. With that said, do not hibernate them or they will perish.
