I loved it! It was actually entertaining even though I didn't learn anything. I like that your videos seem well put together and edited. So many people just record their video and post it. When you edit it you really add something to it.

Yeah, I have a bit of experience editing videos for school lol. I always try to never have a boring part of my video that makes people wanna click away.

Nice video. You probably should have mentioned something about freezing to kill any possible mites on wild-caught food. I know feeding is how quite a few people have infested their colonies with parasitic mites.

I thought I'd make a separate video on potential parasite problems in the future sometime. Then I would put an annotation to the new video in the feeding one so people know about that. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you! I'm glad the channel is growing and I have just reached 100 subs!

I have decided to continue updating my ant journals but making them videos and putting them on youtube, here's the first entry in the series. I just think it's so much more efficient than having to type up a lot of stuff and upload images and stuff.

Made a guide on ant hibernation. It took quite a while, but I finally got it done. Pretty happy with the result. Any feedback?

That was a nice hibernation video.

When you soak the cotton plug of your test tube, you seal it off air-tight, so you better take note of the total amount of air in there, and the size of the colony, because that could be a potential problem.

Unfortunately, my How to ID your ants guide video was taken down because I accidentally used a copyrighted image (from Alexander Wild). Now I'm kinda stressed since if I get two more copyright strikes my channel will be banned. :(

Oops.

On the bright side I'm now at 214 subs!

That sucks copyright strikes suck! I've had one [for no reason unlike you at least you have a reason  ] I hope you can get this fixed! Copyright strikes hurt a lot more then you'd think :P

Edit: Nevermind I do know why I got a strike, apparently it's "against the rules" to :

"It's not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content,"

haha I guess no one wanted 30-50 videos a day

Well, the channel has grown a LOT since my last post in this thread, and is now at roughly 700 subs!

Here's my latest video, a review/unboxing of some tarheelants products.

Hey guys, I uploaded a new ant video.

It's an update on all of my ant colonies, and it shows me moving one of my Lasius colonies to their new tarheelants formicarium.

I've been trying to use a more professional tone on my videos, so I would appreciate some feedback on that.
