New Brunswick (Canada), and most of the Maritimes have been getting a lot of snow.  These pictures show the result after several large storms in a row in February and March.

I've never experienced that much snow but I did experience about half depth of it. It's no fun for sure. Kids will love it since their schools will be closed for the day though.

Despite living in Alberta, Canada, I have never seen that much snow at once either.  The coast often gets the wetter storm systems, but they usually melt much faster.

I recall wading through waist deep snow quite a few times, but I do not recall snow buildup of more than 4 feet in less than a month.

Southern Alberta has had 4 foot snowstorms, with 6-10 foot drifts. But you won't see anything bigger unless you go to the mountains.

That's really much. We don't have more snow on our mountains either here in Austria.

That's just crazy! I've never really seen more then 4'5" before [but it was a long time ago]

Crystal, this isn't just the maritimes. It's crazy because it was basically 2 and a half winters worth of snow in just over a month. Southern New England got hammered by snow in February and March as well. Funnily enough I think we got more this year than the Maritimes. Boston's total is 110.6" or 281cm and Worcester got 119.5" or 303.5cm. From what I found Frederickton, NB got 279cm. The pictures are hilarious now. We've had almost three weeks now where the day time temp was usually between 40-50F (5-10C) with multiple rains and there is STILL snow on the ground. 

 

The largest snow pile in the Alps of MIT is Cambridgemanjaro, a whooping 5 stories tall. 

 

Some people skied down their streets.

 

Sledding off roofs. 

 

Some people built snow tunnels for biking through.

 

At one point the ocean off the coast of Nantucket was basically made of slush.

 

Throughout it all people kept the Boston Marathon Finish Line shovelled.

PERSONALLY, I would dig like a queen ant in snow like that.

Wow! That is lots of snow! I was excited about the 3 stacking snow balls (failed snow man) I built with man made snow, yet you guys probably got bored of snow.

 

It may look all fascinating in photos, but it reminds me of how cold it was. Good to see smiles on people's faces, everything is tougher and durable in your area I suppose (including ants).

In former days, as a kid I really would have been very excited about so much snow! What would we have done then? Built huge snowmen, iglus and anything else.

Oh wow...

I thought the 10-ish" of snow that I saw on Grays Peak when I was there ages ago was a lot of snow....
