2. Date of collection: 07/07/2018
3. Habitat of collection: Concrete walkway
4. Length (from head to gaster): 6 millimeters
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: Red head and thorax, dark gaster
6. Distinguishing characteristics: Slow moving, two black dots on the head
7. Distinguishing behavior: Very curious and wandering
8. Nest description: N/A
9. Nuptial flight time and date: 07/07/2018 6:00-9:00 P.M.

• 1 Camponotus subbarbatus

• 1 Formica incerta

• 1 Formica subsericea

• 1 Crematogaster cf. ashmeadi

Definitely Pheidole. I’m just trying to narrow it down to the species level.

Pheidole Bicarinata or Pilifera is my guess given your location. Need more detailed photos or possibly seeing workers of the species would help.
