1. Location (on a map) of collection: Marion, Indiana
2. Date of collection: 
3. Habitat of collection: On the side of a house
4. Length (from head to gaster): ~11 mm (just an approximation since I don't have anything to measure with right now)
5. Color, hue, pattern and texture: All black with a bit of yellow on the underside and along the legs
6. Distinguishing characteristics:
7. Distinguishing behavior: 
8. Nest description: In trees or man made shelters such as sheds

9. Nuptial flight time and date: Some time during May

I could very well be mistaken, but the coloration seems to resemble a rather dark Camponotus subbarbatus queen more so than C. nearcticus. The lighter legs and splotch of yellow on her gaster match my C. subbarbatus queens.

I'm leaning towards a lightly colored C. nearcticus?
