My dad found this not sure where. It’s shiny and I can’t get a measurement (no ruler sister broke last one). VERY active.

Kind of hard to see, but I'm pretty sure it's a wasp. Ants have joints in their antennae.

looks like a bug


Current ant colonies -
1) Opisthopsis Rufithorax (strobe ant), Melophorus sp2. black and orange, Pheidole species, Pheidole antipodum

It's a wasp. Either parasitic or solitary (I'm thinking the latter) so you won't be getting a colony out of these unfortunately.
