Queen died days from 2 pupa enclosing. I guess she can not feed her self. She was doing great untill argentines kill her 5 workers. Sad. I was looking foward for a non hibernating large camponotus species. Next year i hope to get more

I know. It just this queen was found in simi valley. The coldest it gets there is 45. Most of winter its at 50 degrees. So umlike other camps. Who need yo be put in the fridge. This colony being left in the garage would have beem enough for them. Most salsabeans who get capture by the comunity. Are from high mountains were twmps drop below 40 degrees. Within same species there are slight differences depending were they live.

Well, if you are in Cali, and you want to adopt some ants can ship you some salsabeans from Chaney Trail?
