Test tube makes ant look smaller...

When I first get ants in a test tube I always think they look way small and thin.

Today, I watched the larger of the Melophorus sp. workers foraging in the outworld and I thought she looked way bigger or had grown.
And actually looked decently big for this species.

That's probably why I always feel a bit underwhelmed when receiving new ants in test tubes.... they appears to be a lot smaller than I imagined :)

Something to do with the refraction of the glass
