I needed to create vinyl tubing ports on some of my mini-test tube cases and was wondering what I could use to block the holes until the time comes to insert a tube that would lead to a formicarium or large outworld.

So I sliced up a few 1 inch lengths of vinyl tubing, then with them standing on a sheet of wax paper carefully dropped a few dollops of epoxy inside (taking care for the drops to go straight to the bottom and not hit the sides).

Let them dry and voila, Tube blockers!

The holes in the acrylic are nice and snug so once the blockers (or tubes later) are inserted, they form a tight fit.

Test tube caps? If they are the same size

16mm test tube caps fit nicely on a 13mm tubing
Some of those cheap plastic test tubes come with such

Well I didn't have any test tube caps, much less any that would plug those holes. But I'll keep that in mind next time I seek out more tubes.
