Is Compost Manure a good idea for a Natural Nest?

I'm getting a gigantic bag of compost manure for my D. Tityus grubs but they are all l1 and I only have 6 of them so 40 lbs is quite a lot. I want to use some of the compost manure for some natural setups for my ants since I have 10 gal. Aquarium lying around. I would think that it would be highly beneficial to plants, but the ants are my main concern.
