The Lasius of the Old World, yet different by having the ability to produce major workers. Now these girls have been on my wanted list for a long time, and despite catching over a few dozen queens of various species, I just can't seem to get them going properly - only eggs at best. Luckily I might have another shot since I caught another one of these queens a few hours ago, this time I will be housing her in a dirt setup rather than the usual test tube setup (perhaps my luck will change there).

She has now hidden underneath that broken acrylic, and I plan to rehydrate that particular area once 4 to 5 days.

(Oh yeah in case you're wondering why I'm not coating the walls with fluon or baby powder, she can't hold her grip onto plastic or acrylic walls.)
