I have tried light and heating cables to get the queen out of its test tube setup. I wanted to move it bc the it would be hard to hydrate in the future. Right now my suborn Solenopsis Invicta won't move even when I shine a light for a long time. It just repositions its self in the cotton. Any advice? Thanks!

If you want to move the queen from one test tube to another your best bet is to put both test tubes in a small container and you cover the new test tube so it is dark. If the queen does not move like that then you just have to wait until the old test tube is completely dry then do what I said, then your next bet would be to forcibly move her which I don't recommend, especially if she has brood.

Just connect the test tubes together with a small piece of tubing and wait, don't force her. She'll move when she is ready.

I'm pretty sure he is using the heat cable to move the queen by placing it where he wants the queen to move, not what you are thinking of...

All my colonies are dead.
