Yesterday, when I was looking for S. Invicta Queen Allates, I moved a rock beside an ant hill
and discovered 9 S. Invicta queens inside. I was able to grab 1 queen, around 1-3 workers, a couple of brood, and some dirt. Last night I put their test tube in a soil nest. I saw a worker foraging around(I'm guessing just exploring) and decided to put a small piece of a banana in there. The worker just found it and ignored it. Meanwhile, the queen(And possibly 2 workers, I couldn't clearly see) were huddled in the test tube dirt beside the brood. Now I'm not sure what to do with them. What do I feed them? Will they survive? These are questions I'm looking for answers to. Please not that I do not have immediate access to a live protein source.

They will eat pretty much anything. Cooked hamburger, egg, sausage, cat/dog food, etc.

Just try out different proteins.
