Today I was cutting a hole on a wall to install a vent and I saw a group of this little guys just walking on the wall:

Really small ones, like maybe 1mm... I was drilling with a hole saw and banging the wall with the hammer and they were just like nothing was happening at all!

I will love to get my hands on a queen of this ants!

Thanks

If it's really about 1mm, then I would say Brachymyrmex. A location would help get a more specific ID.

Potentially Brachymyrmex Patagonicus. Antwiki puts them in florida but antmaps.org does not.

Try to refer to this guide when publishing ID requests. As for the species, I would go with either Brachymyrmex obscurior or Brachymyrmex patagonicus.

wow... I see the guide now, I'm sorry to just post my request without the proper details. Thanks...

It looks like they will fly multiple times around the year starting around May... I need to setup my blackliight-bucket trap and let it run on the back porch while I'm on the computer or preparing dinner ad walk on intervals to see if I can catch something ant related!!
