Hello All!
New to this forum and new to ant keeping.
I figured id introduce myself, I am California born and raised. I came to this forum because, quite frankly, nobody i know cares about ants. I want to make friends who are also into ant keeping so I can share my colony and learn about yours. I started getting into the Ants Canada YouTube channel about a year ago and was able to pick up my first colony, Camponotus Fragilis, (thanks Drew) in November 2016. With spring on the horizon and nuptial flights around the corner i thought now is as good of time as any to jump right into it! I have done a lot of "internet research" and often got linked to posts on this forum. There seems to be a friendly and knowledgeable community here and i wish to become a part of it. I am excited to learn about ant keeping and make new friends in the process, stop by an say hello anytime. 
Besides ant keeping i am an active fisherman, backpacker, and hiker. I also mess around with home brewing beers (always happy to share samples) and i love playing music. I also have a dog that is super lazy and spoiled rotten. Thanks for reading about me i look forward to meeting you guys too!
don't have a choice xD usually quite after 2am tho, so i just sit here and read through the whole forum, I have read a lot these past few months xD May be a new member here aswell, but I am informed about people.
