A seed got bad? - Messor sp.

Hello!

 

One of many seeds got bad in my Messor sp. (maybe wasmanni) formicarium and they just stacked dirt and other particles around it on a stone, also, looks like they moisten it too.
Quite interesting for me as I have never seen something like this before, but that looks like a natural reaction.

Update: The pile has significantly decreased in size.
