I had a rough guess at around 1k adults and probably more in brood. I spoil them rotten.

But with 5 queens.. who knows. Maybe 100k? I will train them, set them loose and rule the world! Mwhaha ;-) I am building them a much larger foraging area for the future.

I am not sure how I could possibly feed a colony of that size! It would be a full time job finding bugs for them to eat.

Skim a net along the grass, or check small buildings with open doors, like greenhouses.  They like mealworms, fruit flies, and crickets (and these are easily bought or cultured).

Get those elongated nets that scientists use to prevent the majority of the bugs from getting out.  UFA often carries them in summer.
