My name is Aaron and I've recently begun trying to find queens and start colonies. I feel as if I've lucked out with the first three. All found in the first night at my house my second night looking. I've had no luck out and about in nearby deserts after rains. There is a link to my identification post HERE  Hope to learn and post a lot of progress pictures.

Welcome. You are in the best place in the United States for this hobby. Nice catch on the Camponotus. Not sure exactly what species it is, but I have C. fragilis which it could possibly be or something very similar, and they are one of my favorite colonies.

Yea I'm actually pretty familiar with Arizona City.  My brother lives in Casa Grande and my dads side of the family is from Eloy so we were in that area a lot growing up.

Played Little league in Eloy, lived in CG, went to high school there. Pretty boring place, but has plenty of ants. Now if I could only find more queens...
