Traveling with Queen Ant in Test Tube?

So, how do you think will my queen ant do if I keep her in test tube and put it in my backpack and travel?

She will not lay eggs until the environment is stabilized. Backpack is fine for collection, but bad for extended periods of time exceeding a few hours.

Its impossible to say.

Heating and cooling cycles are likely to cause water to leak into the tube if you have it set up like a standard test tube setup.

I would suggest not having water in the tube, just damp cotton.

I would suggest not having water in the tube, just damp cotton.

That would be a good idea. If there are any air bubbles in the water, and you go up in elevation, you will have a flood. This is why I always ask about a person's drive back home any time they buy a queen from me, and there are any air bubbles in the water.
