Hey everyone, I found a couple of these today at around 8:00am walking around dry sandy dirt at Camp Roberts, CA.

They are around 0.72cm

Kind of a dark red.

I don't think that's P. californicus. Can we get some closer pictures?

Sure thing Foogoo, hit me up whenever.

I have been working 12 hours shift so I haven't been able to take better pics yet. As soon as I can I will.

Around here they told me they are red ants.

Hey guys, found another one of the same species today at the same place and same time I found the other 2. The other 2 have already layed eggs. Tried to take better pictures so you can see.
