My friends send me this queen from Liguria (Italy) (this kind of ants live only in this region in Italy), in october 2014. The queen started depose eggs in spring of 2015. At the start of 2016 i put all the colony in a gasbeton nest homemade.

Now there are 200+ workers, 80+ larvae and i can't count how many eggs. The first larvae of 2016 are starting become pupae. Some of major workers have the characteristic red head while other medium and small workers are all black.

I didn't put them in hibernation this winter but the queen anyway stopped depose eggs and she start only 3 weeks ago with rising temperatures.

So...sorry for my bad english and...enjoy fotos! If you have any question here I am ;)

Sorry, it was a joke for the members here.  I understand it didn't translate well.  You may disregard my message :)
