Hey, i recently got into the hobby and have caught myself a nice Ochetellus Queen. Over the last month she has been busy laying her eggs and recently being being cared for by her first two workers.

Looking good.
I'm pretty sure this is actually a small Camponotus colony. Also, where'd you get that nest? It's a really old Tar Heel Ants Haven. ![]()
How do you hydrate it?

Looks like it has the small white down stem for a syringe that leads to the nest.
I believe i have worked out the species to be Camponotus Dryandrae. Thank you to everyone and especially, dspdrew, dermy and LC3 for helping me with the ID.

Just a quick picture today. Colony has grown to four members who are dotting over a pile of eggs and their queen.
