Hey, this might be an odd request. I'm looking for ant nest beetles for a fire ant problem in my yard. It's a more natural way to try and reduce the problem I'm having in my garden. I have young children and these are a problem. I could use some help with supplying them, I tried eBay, esty and Google but there isn't a place to get these specifically 🥴

I'm located in Michigan

you have fire ants in michigan? if they are solenopsis then it will be very hard

If you have permits to ship pheidole californica to washington pls lmk

There are no fire ants in Michigan! Properly ID the ants before getting too worried. I guarantee your children will be fine. Their lives will even be enriched by having interesting ants in their yard to observe.

Agreed. There are no fire ants in Michigan. They cannot tolerate winter.

In addition to Michigan lacking any notable Solenopsis species, it's not very wise to import random exotic insects to try to kill them off (pathogens, invasive potential, etc.). There is also the very likely chance the beetles would be highly ineffective due to many myrmecophiles and parasites being extremely host specific. Posting some pictures of the ants would be helpful in getting a proper identification, which will allow people to offer easier solutions.
