Hi all, I’m trying to giveaway a Camponotus queen I found in a manzanita branch I took home to use for my aquarium about 1 1/2 months ago. It had made a burrow in the wood, and I found it while removing the bark to prepare the branch to soak. It has been in this setup for a couple weeks and has laid a couple eggs that are getting larger.
I used to keep ants but sold my formicariums to get out of the hobby a few years back, so I can’t keep this queen long term anymore. Looking to see if anyone if interested in this queen, not sure on the exact species. It was collected from Reyes Peak in Ventura County, CA.
Pickup in Newbury Park, CA is highly highly preferred! Let me know when you can come by. You can keep the Pyrex flask.
Thank you and let me know if you have any questions
