AntTx's Attini/Fungus Growing Ants

Species in this journal currently:

Atta texana

Acromyrmex versicolor

Trachymyrmex septentrionalis

Past Species:

None

Atta texana

I caught 64 of these queens on April 26th 2025 and they have grown a lot since then, almost outgrowing their 3x3x3 cube. I'm hoping to see some majors soon. I have 2 main colonies that I will be keeping for a while before trading/selling one of them away.

Acromyrmex versicolor

I bought 20 of these from Attagarret on July 7th 2025 and I'm waiting to pick them up from a friend but I have some pictures of them. They should each be in 5 queen setups but Garrett sent a few more than 20. They were boosted by Garrett with Atta mexicana fungus

Trachymyrmex septentrionalis

I don't really have any pictures of when I first dug up this colony but I dug them up sometime in mid-June 2025 and they didn't cut for a while until about 2 weeks ago. It was sprobably shock that made them not cut if I had to guess.

I will be updating this journal when I move a colony into a new nest, something interesting happens, or I haven't updated in a while

Thanks for reading my journal entry!
