anyone selling pheidole morrisii ants near North Carolina?

hey, this is my first time on this forum, but i was really wanting a colony of pheidole morrisii ants with 5-50 workers but everywhere i look they're sold out! does anyone have them? if not i would settle for pheidole biancarnita.

Try blacklighting on hot humid nights from June through July, especially after rain, and you’ll be sure to get various Pheidole species.

ok. what is blacklighting? like walking around with a blacklight?

ok. what is blacklighting? like walking around with a blacklight?

It’s when you sit around with a black/UV light next to a white blanket or sheet there is also other methods but usually when you black light queen ants get attracted to the light and the ants come to you instead of you coming to them. Just saying it’s not just queens that come to a black light.

Currently keeping:

 

1x Formica subsericea, 35-40 workers + maybe eggs                                                                       *New* 2x Camponotus nova, one has only larva

1x Crematogaster cerasi, All workers is ded   :facepalm:*extreme internal screaming*                        1x Myrmica ruba sp around 10 workers + pupa

*New* 1x Temnothorax curvispinosus, 101 or something worker + 3 or 4 royal mom ants + pile of white ant worms

 

*As you watch your ants march, remember that every thing begins with a small step and continued by diligence and shared dreams* -A.T (which is Me)

 

Sadly due to unforeseen consequences, I will soon be giving away my colonies (I will miss them though  :*( )

Yeah basically, the white sheet is so that the ants can land and you can see them properly instead of landing everywhere on the ground

Just be aware but black lighting doesn't only attract ants but other critters to so be careful!

Just be aware but black lighting doesn't only attract ants but other critters to so be careful!
Seriously? There’s literally nothing to be careful about. If anything, you might see some truly awesome bugs you’d never otherwise encounter.
