can't tell you what jumper you have with that image. you're gonna want to remove it from the vial and put it in a larger container with cross ventilation and room to wander about. 4oz deli cups are great.
Ill try to get a picture of the spider. But since the spider is fast i don't want it to escape so I'm just going to take the best pic i can in the test tube.

Nice!
I keep:
Pogonomyrmex Rugosus journal
Myrmecocystus Deplisis journal
Monomorium ergatogyn Journal
And many Carnivorous plants such as:
Dionea (fly trap), Sarracenia x 'Fiona' ( American Pitcher plant), Nepenthese ventrata (Tropical Pitcher plant), and Pinguicula agnata x emarginata (Butterwort)
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores it's provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. Proverbs 6: 6-8

your jumping spider is Metaphidippus chera and is a male.
I let the spiders go, but not too long after I found out that you can keep jumping spiders as pets, not like just keeping one, but like how ants can be pets. And now that I know that it is a male, I regret letting it go. I hope to catch another jumping spider soon.

no worries man, this species is uber common in urban areas in deserts. your area should have Phidippus octopunctatus, phidippus californicus, phidippus nikites, and possibly if youre lucky, phidippus aureus.
as well as M chera. All those can be found in desert broom and tumbleweeds with the exception of P aureus which is exclusively found in creosote bush.
look at the lower portions of the bushes to find habronattus signatus, a pretty little white/tan habro.
edit- do this at night they will be easier to find inside their cocoons.
