Always an interesting topic, so here's a list of the biggest Pheidole species in the world, at least based on head widths and head lengths of the major/supermajors.

Any corrections would be welcome.

Pheidole sinica? Bit smaller than ocellata I think.

The only reference I see of it is in Chinese, but it does seem to have a HW of 2.75 mm and a HL of 2.67, which would amount to 7.3 mm2

 

This would be around the same size as P. fimbriata as measured by head surface area, smaller than P. ocellata.

These are all fairly impressive. 
I've seen Pheidole astur in person and they aren't really that impressive proportions wise, they are just large in general

Thank you, I have added P. macclendoni and P. obtuspinosa to the list and noted your comment. P. antipodum looks impressive and I have heard of it, but I do not have measurements of it yet.
