Acquired a new colony of lasius claviger ants from Stateside Ants and noticed today they have eggs. They have been feeding heavily on sugary foods and have eaten some bugs as well, mainly a crushed up baby dubia and some fruit flies. Here is a link to a video of the colony. Are the workers from the queen, or are they hosts? Also please keep us updated!
Honestly, I do not know. I believe they are hosts. I got them from stateside ants. I can't wait to watch the colony hopefully expand. Hoping they don't eat the eggs or anything. I'll post more videos later.

Keeping:
3x - S. molesta
1x - C. chromaiodes
2x - F. pallidefulva
2x - C. cerasi
1x - B. depilis
2x P. imparis (colonies) 3x P. imparis queens (1x queen in test tube, 3x queens in test tube, and 6x queens in another test tube. Can't wait to see the results!)

Yeah those are the biological workers. They look fuzzier than regular Lasius hosts; and larger (I’m not super sure so correct me on this).
They could be claviger workers but they probably aren't that queens biological workers.
